Last Updated: April 26th, 2024
Green2Sustainable (the "Company") is committed to protecting you (the "User") as it delivers a web-based solution for measuring, tracking and reporting on sustainability metrics. This document explains the data collection and use practices the Company will provide as it delivers the Sustainability Dashboard (the "Dashboard") solution as it communicates the User via the Internet.
Collection and Use of User Information
The information we collect from the User allows the Company to enable the Dashboard features and to provide the Web service(s) or carry out the transaction(s) the User has requested or authorized. It may also be used to analyze data and improve the products and services the Company offers. The Company will conduct research by aggregating data stripped of any reference to a specific user. The Company will analyze and compare the data. The Company may publicize findings and recommendations on emerging trends and issues keeping the User anonymous. As a User, you are consenting to the use of the data as set forth in the previous sentence, without any compensation.
The Company will e-mail the User certain mandatory service communications such as welcome letters, billing reminders, information on technical service issues, and security announcements. The Company may e-mail the User periodic subscriber letters that are considered part of the service. The Company may occasionally request User feedback, invite the User to participate in surveys, or send the User promotional information about the products or services of the Company and its affiliates. Except as described in this statement, personal information the User provides will not be transferred to third parties without the User's consent.
The Company may access or disclose information about User, including the content of communications, in order to: (a) comply with the law or respond to lawful requests or legal process; (b) protect the rights or property of the Company or its customers, including the enforcement of agreements or policies governing the use of the services; or (c) act on a good faith belief that such access or disclosure is necessary to protect the personal safety of Company employees, customers, or the public.
Collection and Use of Information about the User's Computer
The Dashboard uses Internet-enabled features and information about the User's computer ("standard computer information"), which is sent to the Web sites the User visits and online services used. The Company uses standard computer information to provide Internet-enabled services, to help improve Company products and services, and for statistical analysis. Standard computer information typically includes information such as the User's IP address, operating system version, browser version, and regional and language settings. In some cases, standard computer information may also include hardware ID, which indicates the device manufacturer, device name, and version. If a particular feature or service sends information to the Company, standard computer information will be sent as well.
The privacy details for each Dashboard feature, Web Service or service listed in this privacy statement describe what additional information is collected and how it is used.
Security of User Information
The Company is committed to using a variety of security technologies and procedures to help protect User information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. For example, the Company stores the information the User provides on computer systems with limited access, which are located in controlled facilities.
User Registration
The Company allows the User to create an Account to access the Dashboard and its online tools for measuring, tracking and reporting. During the registration process, the Company will ask the User to provide a valid email address and to choose a password. The User's e-mail address will be used to validate the account and may be used again if the User specifies the same e-mail address for the contact person.
Changes to this privacy statement
The Company will occasionally update this privacy statement to reflect changes to products, services, and User feedback. When the Company posts a change, the "last updated" date at the top of this statement will be revised. If there are material changes to this statement or in how the Company will use the User's information, the User will be notified by e-mail prior to implementing the changes. The Company encourages periodic review of this statement so that Users are informed of how the Company is protecting User information.
