Is there any software or hardware that is required to use the Sustainability dashboard?

No, the Sustainability Dashboard is web based and requires no additional hardware or software. This means you do not have to spend extra money or waste precious time waiting for updates to install.

Is the Sustainability Dashboard compatible with MACs and PCs?

Yes, the Sustainability Dashboard is compatible with both MACs and PCs, and supports a variety of web browsers such as Firefox, Edge, Safari, and Chrome.

WILL MY DATA BE SECURE AND SAFE?

The Sustainability Dashboard uses TLS (Transport Layer Security) connections for all our internet transmission of client data, including all web pages displayed to clients after login and all data they submit from those pages. Additionally, we perform daily data backups onto a second server.

How long is the contract period?

We offer a variety of options from monthly services to annual contracts. It is about finding the right fit for you.

My organization has three locations. Do I need a subscription for each one?

Yes. The Sustainability Dashboard has been designed for use at each individual location, because our primary mission is to help organizations improve their performance. We believe this will happen only when people at the local level (rather than at the corporate headquarters) take ownership. After all, it is the local managers who will ultimately be responsible for making improvements. (And getting the credit for them.)

Do we have to keep buying new editions each time an update comes out?

No, updates to the Sustainability Dashboard are included for subscribers at no extra charge.

The Sustainability Dashboard is pretty inexpensive compared to similar products on the market. Is it adequate for what my organization needs,

Additional users are not charged. Because we want to help you create a ‘culture of sustainability’ in your organization, we encourage you to invite as many users as needed.

That is easy - we do it for you. Yes, all of it.

Are my invoice copies uploaded into the Sustainability dashboard or just the data from the invoice?

Both! The Sustainability Dashboard is not limited to only be an analytics tool, it also functions as a centralized invoice storage system. This allows users to both analyze their performance and quickly locate and reference relevant invoice copies from the same screen.

IF I BUY SUBSCRIPTIONS FOR MULTIPLE LOCATIONS, DOES THE sustainability Dashboard PROVIDE OVERALL INFORMATION FOR MY ENTIRE ORGANIZATION?

Yes. You can see a top-level view of your organization to highlight performance measures of interest, track achievements and indicate potential problems. The Sustainability Dashboard offers a portfolio comparison for your entire organization and this is one of the most effective ways to find areas for cost savings. The Sustainability Dashboard will make all of these differences completely transparent.

HOW IS THE GHG CALCULATED?

The GHG graphs show the Carbon Dioxide Equivalent (CO2e) calculated in metric tons (MT) based on the EPA’s most recently published calculation for regional CO2e estimations based on energy, fuel and waste type; more information on this calculation can be found here. The EPA identified three main sources of carbon emitters associated with running your facility – Energy, Transportation, and Waste.

The regional energy C02e is calculated in accordance with EPA’s Avoided Emissions and generation Tool (AVERT).

Improve

MY UNDERSTANDING IS THAT SUSTAINABILITY ADDRESSES THREE AREAS - ENVIRONMENTAL, FINANCIAL AND SOCIAL, BUT IT APPEARS THAT the SUSTAINABILITY Dashboard ONLY ADDRESSES THE FIRST TWO. IS THIS CORRECT?

Green2Sustainable includes the social aspect in two ways: (1) tracking Human Resource metrics and (2) engaging building occupants via the Engagement Display.

The Human Resources metrics track a variety of metrics based on the GRI’s core criteria, like donations and training hours.

Engagement Display gives facility managers direct control over how their messaging, training, and sustainability efforts are communicated to their occupants.  The Engagement Display allows facility teams to include notes about current events, updated facility policies, promote social awareness, and provide critical information in case of an emergency.  The Engagement Display is also available as a separate product from our Sustainability Dashboard, and will often be referred to as our ‘Digital Signage Solution’.

How can green2sustainable and the Sustainability Dashboard drive improvements at my organization?

Green2Sustainable follows a proven three-step process to upgrade facilities: 1) Measure, 2) Improve and 3) Report.

The “Measure” program step provides information of the current state of a customer’s facilities and operations with respect to energy, water, waste, recycling, transportation and other sustainability metrics the customer wants to track. The Sustainability Dashboard puts your data to work with advanced analytics to help identify target areas for improvement.

The “Improve” program step utilizes the above information to develop and prioritize facility improvement measures that will reduce operating costs, enhance occupant comfort and improve sustainability of the organization. Green2Sustainable team members have decades of experience in developing and implementing facility improvement programs and can guide the customer through this process.

The “Report” program determines progress made toward the customer’s sustainability targets and the positive impacts resulting from the facility’s improvements. This reporting can be targeted for internal and external communications and stakeholders. This customized reporting and performance consulting provides feedback on a customer’s operations and provides actionable improvements to reduce operating costs.

DOES GREEN2SUSTAINABLE PROVIDE FACILITY IMPROVEMENT SOLUTIONS SUCH AS BUILDING RETROFITS?

Building improvements and retrofits vary from building to building. Green2Sustainable will work with the customer to determine the optimum combination of improvements that maximize savings, minimize installation costs and enhance the indoor building experience. Some of the commonly implemented building retrofits and improvement include: HVAC, building envelope, water efficiency, real-time metering, lighting, controls, fault detection diagnostics, computerized energy management systems, renewable energy systems, energy storage, retro-commissioning, monitoring-based commissioning and customer training.

WHAT PRODUCTS DOES GREEN2SUSTAINABLE RECOMMEND?

Green2Sustainable provides objective recommendations on building retrofits and improvements. We do not represent any particular product or brand and can therefore develop solutions best suited for the customer, their buildings and operations team.

WHAT ARE THE FINANCIAL IMPACTS OF A BUILDING RETROFIT PROGRAM?

The primary impact of energy retrofit programs is a significant reduction of utility costs. Savings will be driven by several factors including current utility spend, utility rates and the available capital budget. Savings of from 15% to 25% are typically achievable with a simple payback of from three to five years.  Green2Sustainable will identify the project cost budget, available utility rebates, project utility savings, GHG reduction and maintenance cost savings.
